We routinely team up with Dust Off K9 to bring K9 medicine to teams across the country. Ask us about how to incorporate this course to any of our courses that we offer.

We will also discuss problems worked with other K9s.

Street Readiness and Patrol Tactics
3- or 4-Day Course (max of 20 teams)
This course focuses on two things: getting your K9 prepared for real world environments and teaching handlers to handle their K9s in a more tactically sound way. We will work on exposures and weaknesses and give you the tools needed to continue building your K9. Like you, your K9 needs to keep growing and getting stronger with each training session, each month, each year. We will discuss ways to make plans prior to training to ensure that your dog is getting better. K9 handlers across the country must start taking tactics seriously. We believe the vast majority of this is due to a lack of knowledge or exposure. We will pass on learned knowledge to keep you and your fellow officers safer during your everyday deployments.
In each of our courses, it is our recommendation that we team up with Dust Off K9 to incorporate medical training that will not only put you in a better position to save your K9’s life if needed, but also make you more comfortable in saving one of your human counterparts lives as well. When we do this, we split the groups up to increase the number of repetitions per K9 team.
K9 Integration into SWAT Operations
4- or 5-Day Course (max of 15 teams)
This course focuses on the integration of K9 into SWAT operations. Not just showcasing the K9’s abilities to show SWAT what they are capable of, but to truly integrate the dogs into that line of work. We will discuss everything from dog selection and attributes we look for, training and preparation for work with the teams, team movement so that the dogs can truly work in and around team members effectively, and the handlers role as it relates to working with tactical teams.
During this course, we will expose the K9s to almost every aspect of SWAT operations. This is mainly a dog training course to properly prepare them for these high risk operations. We will also have discussions on the handlers role as it relates to the teams. Handlers roles can vary from team to team based on operational needs and we understand this and have operated in the various roles ourselves. A K9 and their handlers role is arguably one of the hardest positions to effectively do. Our goal is to prepare you and your K9s to overcome any issues that are holding back the growth that needs to happen in order for the integration to be successful.

Decoy Development
Start Your K9 Training Journey
A course that will focus on teaching decoys how to properly build a K9. One of the most effective training tools for bite development is a decoy. It is imperative that you build the confidence to safely decoy and build a K9’s ability to get stronger with every training session. Gone are the days of “get in the suit and run away until the dog catches you” while handlers sit around laughing as you fall on your face. This is not only unsafe for the decoy, but for the K9 as well. We will learn how to turn pressure on and turn pressure off in a way that communicates very clearly to the dog in front of you.
Enhancing your K9’s Odor Work
Take Your Skills to the Next Level
This course was developed to enhance your K9’s ability to effectively work and locate target odor while eliminating common problems observed around the world. We will discuss and work on indirect vs direct rewarding systems. We will work on common problems of working various weights, K9’s walking odor, false alerts and what causes this, teaching K9s to work for longer periods of time, and teaching K9s how to effectively search vehicles.
